Lifecycle of pig
We give a very clear view of the growing of pigs in a life course. Material is very clear, and almost does not need any interpretation. However, it is worth reminding of some of the rules, something that should be respected when the objective is very clear: to achieve more with less cost.

Inseminated - pregnant they are peaceful, except for - food. For this reason more and more used machines for individual consumption. Then the possible greater freedom of movement of sows, with the need for individual control of movement. A simpler way of eating is using partitions and meals for the whole group. Sows in the fifth week of pregnancy, moved to the waiting area and individually controlled by monitoring conditions and intern temperature.

Farrowing - This is the most sensitive stage in the life of sows. In this department has to be top notch hygiene and optimum climate. Be sure to wash and health control sows. Standard stalls for farrowing with full equipment - must be an obligation to preserve most of piglets. It is desirable that the pigs at the end of breastfeeding have average  7 - 8 kg. These piglets are capable of continuing life in breeding house - sows returning to the beginning - to center of insemination. Sows for one week before farrowing moved to the farrowing house and keep up to 4 breastfeeding week, and then transferred to rearing pigs and sows in insemination section to re-fertilize.

 

Upbringing  - Larger groups of rearing pigs, cage floor boxes, customized with air conditioning, automatic feeding - it's become a standard. The goal is to achieve rapid growth and average weight of 25 or better still 30 kg / pig. Then the translation of fattening safer, and the results, as expected. Recommendation: simultaneous charging and discharging of the departments (the system "all in - all out"). Length of stay in piglets breeding is about 8 weeks after bringing and conducting the feedlot.

Feedlots - the final stage of growing pigs. Larger groups, high purity, free from harassment, adjusted largest space for each animal, quality food automatic feeders - this is already a standard. An important goal: daily gain of (at least) 0.8 kg, and consumption of food - below 3.0 kg / head / day! Again, the same recommendation - 'all in - all out'. The average length is 3.5 to 4 months and reached an average weight of 75kg to 115kg live weight.
